Reservation Instructions: To register for a trip, please call Getaway Tours,
Inc. at 1-800-247-5457 or 860-582-9741 and ask for “Tours 2000”.
Method of Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Personal checks
received within one week of making the reservation will also be accepted for
payment. Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 fee. You are welcome to
visit us Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM if you would like to
pay in person. Please call for directions to our office in Bristol,
Connecticut.
Terms and Conditions: Payment in full is required upon sign up to secure your
reservation. All tours have a minimum participation requirement of 30
persons.
Gratuities: The per person cost of the tour includes appropriate gratuities
as listed (i.e. meal service, bus drivers, step-on guides, tour directors,
etc.)
Meals: Information on meals included/not included in the tour price is given
in each itinerary listing under “Meal Choice”. If a meal choice is not given
upon registration, Getaway Tours, Inc. reserves the right to select a choice
for you.
Weather: We make every attempt to operate a tour, regardless of weather
conditions. If you have any questions, call “Tours 2000” at 1-800-247-5457.
Waiting Lists: In the event a tour is sold out, you may request that your
name be placed on the “Wait List” with no payment or obligation at that time.
Departure Points: Our tours depart from West Hartford and Manchester (a
Southington departure point will be added on tours departing after March 1,
2000). Please choose your departure point upon registration. We will then
mail you a confirmation and a map with the address and location of the
departure. Please call us if you need any other information.
Departure Times: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time.
ALL BUSES DEPART ON TIME! If you are not at the departure point on time, it
will be assumed that you will not be touring with us that day. “No shows” the
day of the tour will not be issued refunds (in whole or in part).
Coffee Stops: Morning coffee stops will be made on tours if there is time
available to do so. Although Getaway Tours, Inc. has factored in extra
travel time, if there are delays en route to the destination(s) the coffee
stop may not be made. The discretion of a coffee stop will be left to the
Tour Director and the Motorcoach Operator. Passengers are allowed to bring
(in reasonable quantities) food and non-alcoholic beverages on board the
coach.
Tour Directors: Our Tour Directors are experienced professionals well-trained
in all aspects of tour operation. The average experience of a Getaway Tours,
Inc. Director is ten (10) years. All of our tours include the services of a
Tour Director to assure that our tours operate safely and smoothly. Tour
Directors are not used as “local guides” and Getaway Tours, Inc. hires
professional local guides (where listed) who are knowledgeable on the
particular destination.
Seating Arrangements: Getaway Tours, Inc. reserves the right to assign seats
on the coach solely on the basis of the time and date your reservation was
placed with our office. While we will do our best to accommodate certain
requests for seating, we cannot guarantee requests will be honored. Please
check in with the Tour Director upon arrival at the departure point.
Tour Participant Conduct: At any point in the tour Getaway Tours, Inc. Tour
Directors and Motorcoach Operators reserve the right to expel any
participant(s) whose conduct is deemed disruptive, offensive or incompatible
with the interest of the tour group. Participant(s) expelled from the tour
will not be reimbursed for any unused portion of the tour and will not be
refunded any or all expenses incurred by the passenger(s) once removed from
the tour - including, but not limited to, expenses incurred for returning
home.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed on the motorcoaches at any time and
participants are requested to abide by any and all smoking policies
established by the attractions, restaurants, etc. utilized by Getaway Tours,
Inc.
Your cooperation with all policies of Getaway Tours, Inc. is required and
appreciated.
